Scientists currently claim that the impact of human activity on the planet’s ecosystem is massive and irretrievable. There is constant debate about the great climatic changes man has caused. In the light of a disaster few of us can even imagine, a new perspective opens, that of someone who sees the story of the modern human as if already finished. This perspective appears not only in science and philosophy but in art, too. A radically alienated, distant, even “inhuman” look at humans swarming like insects who are also self-destructive, for one reason or another: a possible artistic strategy which can help us understand what we have come to.
